Tom started with the City of Wilmington Pipe Band, which was one of the best on the east coast and later played with The Ogilvy Highlanders, winning the Grade 3 world Drumming title, Denny and Dunipace, winning The North American Gr. 2 championship and Gr. 2 Champion Supreme for Canada and later, Scottish and Irish Imports, which became The City of Washington Pipe Band. He moved to Scotland in 1980 to play with Shotts and Dykehead and to take lessons with Alex Duthart.  Tom  has served on the EUSPBA Music Board for several years and is currently Vice President of the EUSPBA. Tenor Drum:

Linda Hall has been playing tenor and bass drum for twenty-four years. She is the midsection leader of the Grade 3B 2009 World Champion Ulster Scottish Pipe Band Drum Corps (www.ulsterscottish.org) from the Philadelphia area.  Strong family ties have kept Linda competing with Ulster Scottish her entire pipe band career.  Her husband is the pipe major; her two sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, one cousin, and one nephew play in the band, as well as her son who plays in the midsection with her.  Linda has been an EUSPBA certified tenor and bass drumming judge for eight years.  Linda judges at many major competitions on the east coast and has also judged at the North American Championships in Maxville, Ontario.  In addition to judging, Linda spends much of her time teaching midsections and individual students, and writing midsection scores for her own band as well as other bands. She also maintains a website to provide tips and assistance to tenor and bass drummers (www.tenorandbass.com).  Linda is a hairstylist by trade, but has been a stay-at-home Mom for many years. She has two sons, ages 21 and 13 and lives in Elkton, Maryland.
