Here’s what our OSAS alumni are saying…

"I wanted to drop a line just to say that I was thinking of OSAS yesterday at the park bar while celebrating our win (at the 2015 World Pipe Band Championship). Owen Russell and I were having a pint and remembering when we had just started playing, going to the Ohio Scottish Arts School every year. For me, it was always the best week of my year. I wanted to thank you all for the work you do in the midwest helping to give opportunities of tuition to aspiring pipers. It was incredibly important to me and I hope you can continue doing it for years to come." - Andrew Bova

The overall experience. The people (both running it and attending it) are what makes this a "must attend" every year. It stands alone in that respect...and I have attended a LOT of workshops/events.

The people were fantastic! The magic is in them...working, playing, socializing together. They make the event what it is.

The camaraderie and the overall goals/challenge to improve. It's pretty amazing that a group of people gels so well together so quickly and strives for a week to push one another and make everyone better. Everyone is very welcoming and approachable at every level and is trying to bring the others up.
